Trophy Lakes Church Preschool is an extension of The Church at Trophy Lakes, Trophy Club. It has served the community by providing Preschool in a Christian environment since 1998. Children are enrolled on a space available basis without regard to race, color, national origin or religion. Our program emphasizes a Christian environment with daily bible stories, values and principles; snack and lunchtime. Our program is licensed by the State of Texas as a child-care provider and seeks to provide the most excellent care possible for our children.

 Enrollment

Children 18mo - 5 years as of September 1^st will be accepted in the program. Enrollment will begin in the Spring and will remain open until all spaces are filled. A waiting list will be maintained for all classes. Parents are asked to commit to the entire school year as children feel greater security and receive more benefit from regular participation in the program. The school year will follow the Northwest I.S.D. schedule for holidays and school closure dates.   $25.00 of the supply fee is non refundable and no portion after July 1st.

Program Days & Times

Class days are Monday thru Friday 9:00–2:30 p.m. Programs are Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday , Tuesday/Thursday/Friday and Monday/Wednesday/Friday.  A file will be maintained for each child enrolled in the program. Each file will contain the enrollment forms, child information sheets, field trip permission forms, emergency treatment forms, immunization records, and copies of any incident reports completed involving the child. Records will be updated through the year.

Snacks & Lunches & Birthdays
Snacks and 100% fruit juice will be offered daily. Snack menus are available for review. Parents are asked to inform us of any food allergies on the child information form. Sack lunches and drinks are to be provided by parents. Please provide lunches that are nutritious and easy for the child to eat with no heating or refrigeration required. Birthdays are a time of celebration – coordinate with teacher if you’d like to bring a special snack for your child’s special day.

Guidance
The preschool years are a time of amazing development for your child. They are learning to share, take turns, follow instructions and how to problem solve with their peers. They are also developing a strong sense of self and our teachers desire to nurture and develop a positive self-image for your child.   We strive to recognize the positive accomplishments of your child, anticipate situations where conflict may arise and use re-direction to keep children on course whenever possible.   Classroom rules are few, fair and consistent - we do not want them to fail, we want to rejoice with their successes!   Many age-appropriate methods are utilized to guide the child’s behavior all of which focus on the behavior vs the child. Physical punishment is not endorsed or tolerated as a form of guidance at school.

Tuition and Fees

 Tuition is due for months September through May. The total cost is divided equally over a 9-month period. This method averages the number of days of school for the year and takes holidays and school breaks into consideration. There is no refund for absence days. We do not make-up bad weather days unless they exceed 5 for the year.  Call for pricing and availability of class for your child.

There will be a Tuition Discount for church members in regular attendance as of August 1st of the year. Payments are due the 1^st of each month and a late fee of $10 will be assessed for payments received after the 10^th of the month. Payments may be made by cash or check. One-half (½) of the supply fee is due upon enrollment, $25.00 is non-refundable and no refunds are given after July 1st.

 
Curriculum
 This year our two's and three's are begining a new curriculum "Hands on Homeschooling". This is a Christ based learning curriculum that will provide a technique the develops our children's learning through activities that teach letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and much more with learning that Jesus loves them.  Our Pre-K curriculum this year is "Horizon" for Pre-k in preparation for Kindergarten.  This is new curriculum as well and creates a wonderful and positive learning for our children through Christian based curriculum.  Our Kindergarten class is using the Bob Jones and Saxon curriculum this year. This curriculum will prepare children for 1st grade with a Christ emphasis in all areas of learning, English, Math, Social Studies, Science, and much more.

Staffing
The Weekday Education program falls under the Preschool Department of Church at Trophy Lakes and is administered by the Church Staff and the Preschool Director.

 We seek teachers and staff who have a love and knowledge of young children, and who demonstrate their love for children by their willingness to plan and take part in appropriate learning activities. Teachers will be committed Christians. They may be church members or people whose beliefs are consistent with the church doctrines. Staff receives discounts on tuition. Substitute teachers will be paid an hourly rate unless time is donated. Applications are available through the Preschool office.
